Chris Brown Finally Sentenced by the L.A. Superior Court

Chris Brown’s face showed his gloom when his sentence was read out in the Los Angeles Superior Court under Judge Patricia Snegg. The sentence was given last Tuesday, 7 months after Chris Brown was arrested for beating Rihanna. Judge Snegg ordered Chris to five years’ probation and six months’ community labor. He must keep his distance from Rihanna for at least 90 meters; exception is when they are attending major music events. He will also have a year of domestic violence counselling program.

If he violates any of the terms of his sentence, he could be sent to state prison! I’m sure he doesn’t want to go there so he’d better behave!

Chris will be serving his community in Virginia, his home state. Judge Snegg was doubtful at first about this arrangement until Chris’ lawyer Mark Geragos gave a letter that Chris’ community labor will be directly supervised by Richmond Police Chief Bryan T. Norwood.

A criminal charge made on Chris Brown about making threats was also stopped last Tuesday.

During the sentencing last Tuesday, Chris Brown was accompanied by his mother and his lawyer. Rihanna, however, did not attend the sentencing. Chris Brown will appear in court in November 19 to report how he’s getting on with the terms.
