If you think it's too early to say so, you're wrong! Mariah is going to miss out on the August 31st deadline and that means she has to wait till 2011 for a Grammy nod!

Mariah told showbiz411: "I’m sorry to have missed the deadline. We were trying to make it. But we also realized the material we had was so special, and we didn’t want to rush and do it wrong."

Mariah also revealed that says she feels “Angel” could be her strongest collection yet and that she’s working so hard on it and won't be jetting off to Italy for some sun and sea this year!

Although the album won't be eligible for a Grammy, her single 'Obsessed' will.
