Sasha Baron Cohen: Borat vs. Bruno

bruno

Sasha Baron Cohen is funny. That's a fact no one can deny.
Borat was hilarious and it made my stomach hurt because I laughed until the credits rolled.
As for Cohen's new 'shockingly funny' movie Bruno ... I really don't know what to say.

Did you watch Bruno?
Honestly, I haven't ... but I've read so many reviews and they all agree on two things:
1. It's funny because of shock humor and 2. it's way off the charts with full-frontal male nudity!
Do you agree?

The other day, Barbara Walters made her opinion about Bruno public through The View.
She said she found movie 'very pornographic' for its R rating.
If that's so, then wouldn't it be inappropriate for the kids to tag along to the movies if you're going to watch Bruno?

I've also read that the movie's been banned in Ukraine because Ukraine's Culture Ministry found the film to be immoral.

What do you think? Is it really that immoral? Is not inappropriate for kids to watch?
Is there a whole lot of full-frontal nudity that it becomes uncomfortable to watch?
Did you see anybody walking out of the cinema hall during the movie?

And my final question: Which did you find funnier, Borat or Bruno?

Borat was such a big hit when it came out. Bruno didn't have to do much to be popular and it did just that; it was as bad as you heard plus a little more.
My review in short was: "Definitely nothing like Borat, more like a g** pr0n movie."

Of Cohen's three films, Borat was best. However, nothing beats his HBO series, which was hilarious in a clever way. For some reason, he too greatly relies on crude and lewd in his films. Cohen's work on HBO was smarter and showed that he is capable of better.
