The long lost video of the horrific accident that lead to Michael Jackson's hair catching on fire during the filming of a Pepsi commercial back in 1984 has finally hit the net!
Us Weekly got their hands on the detailed video and they shared it with the rest of the world!
We clearly see how his hair catches on fire after pyrotechnic explosions went off too early.
The first five takes of the shooting went as planned, but the sixth take goes terribly wrong!
As Michael Jackson prepares to go down the stairs, the pyrotechnics go off way to early, thus his hair catches a few sparks from the explosion, which results in all his hair catching on fire!
Michael doesn't seem to be feeling that his hair is all up in flames, but when he does his famous spin, his hair starts smoking and then a number of people then rush out to put out the flames, they tackle Michael, cover him and then spray him with a fire extinguisher!
We can see as he stands back up, that he's got a big empty patch on his head!
Michael suffered second and third degree burns on his head and face and that's what started his painkiller addiction.

It must have hurt mj in and out. and i cannot but feel outraged that eminem made fun of this and the whole musical industry permitted it! does freedom of speech really allow one to put away all ethical, moral standard. entertainment really should not be at the sake of another person being truly hurt. especially in this case it was no joke a life threatening matter. everyone unite and ban eminem music and all companies associated to it. not only for mj but for our future generation, let the children know that true music is defined by the melody, the beat, and the positive loving message it sends out through its lyrics and NOT by making fun of others!!
Can you possibly imagine what horrific pain Michael was in after this accident? This wasn't a typical burn. The scalp is such a thin and extremely sentitive area that no one can possibly imagine having that kind of pain. When an area like this is burned it doesn't matter how good your doctors are it's an area that would take a very long time to heal, a very long time and of course the hair will never grow back in those areas because the hair follicles have been completely destroyed. Oh how I wish we had all seen this video much sooner so we could fully realize how awful it had to of been. The pain must have also lasted for a very long time, it's no wonder he got addicted to pain meds during that time period. Now for later drug abuse that's a darn shame but I do understand the not sleeping issue. If you know your history almost every genius from all kinds of fields whether music, science, philosopher and so on, the common trait between them all was the inability to sleep because their brains wouldn't stop working. This is a REAL problem and we know Michael was a musical genius so it had to be hard to deal with the insomnia. For any doctor thought that prescribed that proponol was totally irresponsible and should at the very least lose their license to practice any kind of medicine forever. No is a simple word.
This video shows that MJ was on painkillers BEFORE this happened. He danced for a good 15-20 seconds AFTER his head was ablaze. Looks like he didn't feel it at all.
dreamer, I can't agree more with every word you said! that's why MJ used to wear a wig, the hair never grew since the accident.
but I don't agree with dreamer that the hair burn lead to Propofol intake that caused his death. how many people on earth have Propofol at home (anesthesic drug used sololy by anesthesia doctors for surgeries in hospitals only) ??? the doctor who brought him Propofol is not even an anestesia specialist doctor, gimme a break here, living with him and he doesn't even know MJ home address? duh!
ITS REALLY AMAZING THOUGH, WHEN MICHAEL WAS ALIVE, PEOPLE WOULD DO ANYTHING TO TRY AND EXTORT MONEY FROM HIM, BUT NOW HES DEAD, AND THE PEOPLE WHO HURT HIM, HAVE CRIED CROCODILE TEARS FOR HIM, WAAH, RE WAAH, KYA BAAT HAI!
