We LOVE when celebrities do great things for amazing causes.
Ante Up For Africa is a big charity event taking place at the World Series of Poker
this year, and lots of poker-pros wannabes are headed to Vegas to raise
money for charities that provide aid and assistance to the survivors of the
crisis in Darfur, Sudan.
Actor Don Cheadle hosts the event for the second year in a row, and this year he's hoping to up the donations from last year's 2 million dollars.
Matt Damon, Jason Alexander, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Montel Williams, Herschel Walker, Hank Azaria, Brad Garrett, Marlon Wayans, Sarah Silverman and Casey Affleck are all playing poker for a cause this year, and Celebrity Apprentice runner-up, poker pro Annie Duke, will be co-hosting with Don Cheadle.
We hope they raise a ton of cash for this cause!
Wow! Herschel Walker playing in this tournament too? How does he have all this time to do both the charity tournament and the sports legends challenge?
I think Annie Duke is gonna be at that sports legends challenge thing too. She's obviously a great poker player, but I had no idea Herschel played the game. Should be interesting to see how he does.
