I thought it would be safe to eat anything in a place like Cannes and never be afraid of getting a stomach ache, let alone food poisoning!
Poor Penelope Cruz ... she got a stomach bug while in Cannes to promote her latest musical, Nine and her latest movie, Broken Embraces.

Penelope was supposed to participate in promoting Nine in Cannes on Monday, but had to stay in because of food poisoning.
She fell really ill, most probably she's been vomiting and suffering from stomach pains and high fever.
Tonight, Penny is supposed to join director Pedro Almodóvar, for the premiere of their latest movie together, Broken Embraces.
If she's recovered and feeling better, she'll be taking her place on the red carpet. If not, well, we wish her a speedy recovery and Get Well Soon Penny!
A source reported: "She was so disappointed because she wanted to enjoy the festival. Now she's stuck in bed". Bummer!
