When Cynthia Nixon announced that she's a lesbian, she made headlines.
Last year, she revealed that she and her partner Christine Marinoni would love to get married. That made headlines too.
Now, she's announced that she and Marinoni have officially gotten engaged!
I guess if they do tie the knot, that will be a bold headline too.
Cynthia revealed her happy news on Saturday in an event held in New York.
The event was a rally to support same sex marriages in New York.
In the event, Cynthia flashed the diamond engagement ring Marinoni out on her finger and said: "It's time already".
Cynthia and Christine could easily get married in California, but to them it's important that same sex marriages be legalized in the Big Apple too.
They event would prefer to get married in New York. Nixon once said: "In an ideal world, we'd like to in New York, when it becomes legalized".
Well, Congrats you two!
