Will Trace Adkins Win His First Grammy?
Country music's big guy Trace Adkins is a Grammy nominee this year and is up for two nods; his song 'You're Gonna Miss This' is up for Best Male Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song.
What are Trace's chances of winning his first Grammy of his 12-year-career?
Could the answer depend on who he's up against in those categories?
Or is his deep voice, mind-blowing LIVE performances, southern drawl and from-the-heart songs simply enough?
The song itself 'You're Gonna Miss This' is a strong one and has been a hit in the past year.
It hit No. 1 for three weeks, was named one of Billboard's Top Ten Hot Country Songs of 2008 and nabbed multiple 2008 CMA nominations.
As for the competition, Adkins is up against Jamey Johnson, James Otto, Brad Paisley and George Strait! This is only in the Best Male Country Vocal Performance!
As for the Best Country Song nod, he's up against smash hit songs as well! I mean it's not going to be easy when he's battling against Dig Two Graves by Randy Travis, I Saw God Today by George Strait, In Color by Jamey Johnson and Stay by Sugarland.
Well, in not so many sophisticated words, i think Trace Adkins' baritone voice deserves a Grammy and should have won one a long time ago!
As for the song 'You're Gonna Miss This' it's worth every letter of it's lyrics in gold!
2008 was a good year for Trace Adkins and I'm hoping 2009 will be even better.
I've got my fingers crossed and i think those two Grammy nods are his! Are ya with me on that?

TRACE ADKINS should have won the Grammy for "You're Gonna Miss This".
I don't know what the voters were thinking,
or maybe just 'not thinkin' at all'.
Grammy voters, you must go see TRACE in person and once you see what an incredible
entertainer and extremely talented lyricist he is, you will vote for him next year!!!

If the Best Male Country Performance Grammy award can not go to James Otto, I would love to see Trace get it, I love James so much!!! (smiles)
