It Was a Good Year for Trace Adkins

trace adkins at cmt awards

Larger than life country singer Trace Adkins had himself a good year.
In 2008 he accomplished a whole lot of stuff like publishing a book, nearly winning Celebrity Apprentice (he was a finalist but lost to Piers Morgan), releasing his tenth album 'X', made his acting debut in 'An American Carol' and won 2008 CMT Male Video of the Year for his song 'I Got My Game On'.
His song 'You're Gonna Miss This' was a smash hit as well, it spent three weeks at number one on country radio. Knock on wood!

If i missed something Trace fans, please remind me in the comment box below!

One of the very important things Trace has achieved in 2008, is putting the spotlight on Food Allergies and most importantly life-threatening food allergies.
He became a spokesman for the FAAN - Food Allergies and Anaphylaxis Network and helped raise awareness and help keep kids and teens safe.
Trace knows about this first hand, because his daughter Brianna has food allergies and it's dangerous for her to even get close to peanuts, milk and eggs!

I wish Trace a great 2009. May this year be even better than 2008 and may it be full of accomplishments and awards!

Traces birthday is coming up next week, so be sure to pass by on the 13th to leave you birthday wishes for this great guy.

In November Trace received a star on Nashville's Music City Walk of Fame.

You're Gonna Miss This was GAC's 2008 top video of the year. The third year in a row, fans voted Trace's videos number one.

In December Trace was nominated for two Grammy nominations for You're Gonna Miss This

Honky Tonk Badonkadonk's ringtone was certified Platinum. There are only five country artists that have a platinum ringtone.

And that's just what I can remember from November and December! 2008 was a great year for my favorite country superstar!!

I have been a Trace fan for a few years now and his years keep getting better and better but I think the highlight for me was his trip with the USO! As a military mom of three boys who continue to be overseas I think the show of support by Trace,SGC(the band) and Trace's management team was outstanding. The respect and support they paid those soldiers was wonderful and true. Can't wait to see what Trace has planned for his fans in 2009

TRACE is an incredible human being, he gives back in so many ways.
His performances at his concerts are the best I have ever seen by any entertainer.
    Everyone must see his:
"TRACE ADKINS: TEN DAYS in IRAQ" special that shows on GAC.
I cry every time I watch it, heartwrenching to say the least.
TRACE ADKINS IS LARGER THAN LIFE!
