Last night the winners of the 2008 CMT Online Awards were announced in an online show hosted by Kellie Pickler. The show was totally fun and very entertaining to watch!
The winners where chosen by their fans and were chosen on basis of how much they were digitally searched for and clicked at on the CMT website!
The winners were announced through guest appearances by Jessica Simpson, Trace Adkins, Taylor Swift, Larry the cable guy and Hulk Hogan.
The most important two categories were 'Most digitally active male artist' and 'Most digitally active female artist'.
The number one digitally active male artist turned out to be Kenny Chesney, and he beat Trace Adkins, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith and Keith Urban in that category!
As for the number one digitally active female artist, she's Carrie Underwood! And she beat Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift to the title!
Congrats Kenny and Carrie ... although it wouldn't have hurt if Trace Adkins had won!
I think these two artists work hard & deserve every fan-based award they receive..even though Trace is good he just hasn't reached that level..yet..it has taken Kenny many years of hard work to build his fan base..you know what they say..it is what it is..and Kenny is the best!
