Christina Aguilera has one of the best voices of all times, she is one amazing singer! I don't recognize some of the names on there never heard of and some are great rock artists but wouldn't cal them singers necessarily. Price is an amazing artist but wouldn't classify as a just a singer he's a guitar dance sing rocker.

Rolling Stone never gave the Steve Perry "Journey" the respect he and the rest of the band deserved. He is a much better singer than listed here. In other competitions on other sites he has scored in the top 3 consistently!!!!

What kind of list is this, I would like to know the merits behind what is determined as the best singer. I'm sorry but Mariah Carey should be # 1, no one can come close to the range and tone and control she has especially when looking at the ballads she ruled the 90's with, she has also written almost all of her own songs and has the most # 1's and has received the artist if the decade and millenium awards. These list's should be based on fact not who they think hold the most historic value or most respected...

What kind of list is this? I would like to know what the merits are behind how they came up with this. I'm sorry but Mariah Carey should be # 1, most will agree she has one of if not the best voices in recorded music, she has had the most #1 hits and weeks at # 1, she writes most of her own songs, and no one can come close to the range and control she has with her voice especially when looking at the ballads she ruled the 90's with, Mariah won the Artist of the Decade and the Millenium and when all is said and done and she is no longer performing and recording music, she will by far surpass anyone else in music history with sales, #1s, weeks @ #1, her quality and control of voice, so this added all up she make her the #1 singer of all time. not some of these artist who had a few hits but are for whatever reason held in high regard by music industry people...
