Angelina Jolie is a stunning woman in more ways than one!
Jolie, as part of her role as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, was in Afghanistan last week.
She went on a two day trip, her first to Afghanistan, to see first-hand the troubles and suffering of thousands of Afghan returnees who are trying to rebuild their lives in difficult and sometimes impossible conditions!
Jolie called for more international support to meet the critical needs of these poverty-stricken people during the very close upcoming winter.
Jolie said: "The courage, resilience and quiet dignity of returnee families rebuilding their lives against the kind of adversity few of us can imagine shows the human spirit at its best."

On Wednesday, Jolie traveled to Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan where almost 850,000, or 20 percent, of all returnees to Afghanistan have returned since 2002.
On Thursday, she visited displaced returnees in Kabul who have been taking shelter in public buildings for several years, unable to return and settle in their province of origin because of poverty.

Jolie said: "Afghanistan has been struggling to absorb these massive returns. It's understandable. It's one of the largest population movements in recent history."
