Britney Spears has gotten a second chance for a huge comeback with the opening act for the 25th annual VMA Awards on Sunday.
Britney will kick off the show -maybe there's going to be a surprise performance- and she's up for three nods this time around! One of which is Video of the year for her music video 'Piece of me'.
Brit revealed that she's so excited and feels super happy about this, she told PEOPLE:
"MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I'm excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated."

I can't wait to see what she's got to offer and how she'll be on stage!

The huge event, will be hosted by the British comedian Russell Brand, will be held at the Paramount Studios in Hollywood on Sunday! Don't miss it! It airs on MTV at 9 p.m. ET/PT!
