What started out as a happy event ended in a sour note for Hayden Panettiere when her father, Alan, was arrested early Monday morning for domestic violence. It seems Alan Panettiere is one of those men who cannot control their anger when he struck his wife’s face, twice with a closed fist. According to the statement made by the police who conducted the investigation the couple had an argument and Mr. Panettiere became upset which resulted in him hitting his wife. Mrs. Lesley Panettiere called the police before 3 a.m. and Mr. Panettiere was arrested.

Earlier that evening the whole family went to Eva Longoria’s Beso restaurant where Hayden hosted an event for the Whaleman Foundation Benefit to help save the whales. Alan Panetteire has yet to make a statement to the police, but according to him he felt disrespected by his wife when she was seen hanging with an individual that her husband doesn’t know. Whether it’s the same party as the Benefit is still unknown.

Allan Panettiere has been released on Monday afternoon after almost 10 hours in jail. I guess he was able to easily pay the $50,000 bail.
