Men are just playing it cool, but when you compare their paychecks you’ll be blown away by the big difference. Yup, the Hollywood leading men are still the top earners in the industry. All in all the men earned an estimated total of $487 million while the women only took home a total of $244.5 million from June 1, 2007 to June 1, 2008. Guess who takes the lead in Forbes list of top earning leading actor? Will Smith is at the top spot with $80 million in just a course of one year. This is thanks to his movies I Am Legend, The Pursuit of Happyness, and the much-talked about Hancock.

In second place, Johnny Depp who managed to take home $72 million just for this year. That’s thanks to his films and commercials. Number three is Eddie Murphy with $55 million earnings. His projects with DreamWorks like Shrek, Norbit and Dreamgirls all made it possible for him to be one of the top earners.
In fourth place, Mike Myers who actually tied up with Eddie Murphy in terms of earnings. Mike also earned $55 million from his movies and other projects.
Fifth is hunk Leonardo DiCaprio who earned a relatively tiny $45 million from his projects!
