Well, well, Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil are quite a pair. We all know Amy can’t stay out of trouble and neither can her hubby! Blake Fielder-Civil was sentenced yesterday to two years in jail for assault and bribery. The crime happened in June 2007 when Fielder-Civil, Michael Brown and two other friends assaulted pub manager James King outside Macbeth pub while under the influence of cocaine and alcohol. Brown was the first to punch and kick James King, and Fielder-Civil joined in after him. After the attack, Brown and Fielder-Civil attempted to bribe their victim with $400,000 just to keep quiet about the issue. James King had serious injuries on his face which required the insertion of metal plates on his cheekbone.
The incident happened not long after Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil were married. They were married in May 2007 and by November he was already in jail. After spending nine months in jail, Fielder-Civil could be free by December after completing half his sentence.
Since her husband’s incarceration, Amy Winehouse kept a public vigil for her husband. But how come she wasn’t there during the reading of his sentence at the Snakesbrook Crown Court? I wonder how Fielder-Civil felt about that.
