When I watched a movie at the cinema some time ago I saw the movie trailer of Mamma Mia being shown. From the bits of the movie I saw, it seemed like a funny movie to watch. Well, it is a funny musical movie. It is packed with all ABBA songs as you can probably predict from its title. Critics say that this is the worst musical movie ever, but it’s hard to hate because of its humor. So, what’s the story about? Basically, the story unfolds when twenty-year-old Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) invites three of her mom’s old flames to her wedding in Greece, with the purpose of finding out who among them is her father.

Her mom, Donna played by Meryl Streep, was mortified to find out what her daughter has done. In the ensuing scenes, Donna together with her two best friends reminisce the past. The three invited men also had a bonding moment, each wondering why they have been invited to Greece. The spice of it all is that all of them sang ABBA songs the whole time.

Would you imagine Pierce Brosnan also sang in the movie? He’s one of the three old flames that showed up in Greece. Just wait till you hear him trill S.O.S. in the movie. The other two men that you’ll see in the movie are Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard. As I’ve said before, even though some criticize the poor choreography of this supposedly musical movie, you can’t help but love the comedic acts and scenes present in the film.

And you know what? If you’re feeling down and out, this movie could be what you need in order to make you feel better. Don’t miss Mamma Mia!
