In only a couple of days after the rumors about Katherine Heigl being killed off Grey’s Anatomy surfaced, the show’s network programming chief came out and denied those speculations. ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson said that Heigl is definitely staying with the show and that a great story line has been made for her this year. The story line to be given to her will be the focus of this season’s Grey’s Anatomy. McPherson said that it is unfortunate when there is unrest in the show because what they have is a “beautifully written, beautifully acted, and beautifully produced show.” And due to that, everyone deserves big recognition.
So, with that we can dispel thoughts on how Katherine Heigl’s Dr. Izzy Stevens will be removed from the show. When you think about it, Katherine Heigl played a great role in making Grey’s Anatomy a popular series. Last year it won her an Emmy Award. This year, the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards nominations will be announced on Thursday but don’t expect Heigl’s name to be included. She didn’t sign her name for Emmy consideration because as what she said she was not “given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.”
Well, maybe for next year she’ll be included again since she won’t be leaving the show anytime soon as what McPherson said.
Yayyyy..I was so sad when hearing she might not be in season 5..I knew that if that happened Grey's Anatomy would be over..da kefaya en Isiah Washington isn't going to be there..I loved him as Dr Burke...anyways..yay again!
