Seems like it has not yet been that long when original CSI cast Jorja Fox and Gary Dourdan left the show. Now CSI suffers another blow with William Petersen’s decision to leave the crime scene. Petersen plays the sharp crime solver Gil Grissom.
This coming season will be his last as an original cast member, although he will remain as a CSI executive producer. And even though he’s leaving the show, he is always open for guest appearances on CSI. But in order to make the blow less harsh, CSI will have Jorja Fox and Gary Dourdan as guest in the coming episodes.

William Petersen will bid his leave in CSI’s 10th Season. There is no final word yet on when the air date for his final episode will be; but it could be in the beginning of 2009. CSI producers said that it was purely Petersen’s decision to leave. On Petersen’s side, he just said that it was time for him to do other things. And for sure it will be hard to say goodbye to the cast and crew who he had worked alongside for all these years.

Guess it’s going to be goodbye to CSI Gil Grissom very soon.
