Rumors about Madonna's marriage being on the rocks have been on and off for a very long time now.
But things have gotten fishy when a few days ago, Madonna hired one of the toughest divorce lawyers in England!
Madge met with this lawyer at his London office just over ten days ago.
According to British site Holy Moly, Madonna has hired Nicholas Mostyn QC to kick start divorce proceedings against her hubby of eight years, Guy Richie!
It seems the reason for this drastic measure is simply that Madonna and Guy have drifted apart and nothing more!
They have spent increasing amounts of time apart with both Madonna's new album and tour and Guy's revived movie career.

Madonna's reps have not commented on this story and it seems the guys over at Holy Moly are still waiting for a response!

I hope this isn't more than a rumor! Madonna and guy make a very good couple! They seems so compatible!
