I always liken Madonna to Angelina Jolie when it comes to her soft spot for children. Madonna fought and won the battle for her right to adopt African toddler David Banda.
The Malawian judge handling the case finally ruled in favor of the pop star.
I must say that the decision made last Wednesday at Malawi’s High Court is long overdue. Madonna’s fight to adopt little David Banda started in October 2006; it’s already 2008 now, that’s almost 2 years of waiting and fighting! But now it’s all over, victory for Madonna is already at hand!

Madonna and her hubby, Guy Ritchie, are very happy with the news. To quote Madonna’s Malawian lawyer Alan Chinula: “We are happy with what the judge has ruled. It is a positive and beautiful judgment that will have an impact on Malawi’s adoption laws.”

No matter what other people say about the adoption, I see something very good about it. One Malawian child is going to have a very good life ahead of him.
