Sharon Stone might have looked really good during the Cannes Film Festival, but she didn't sound that good!
Sharon took it upon herself to judge the Chinese people and wonder whether the horrid earthquake that struck them and killed thousands of people was a result of bad karma?!
In an interview, Sharon actually said: "And then this earthquake and all this stuff happened and I thought, 'Is that karma, when you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?'"
If you're wondering what she means, she thinks that the quake happened because of China's treatment of Tibet and The Dalai Lama!
I mean, come on Sharon, even if you believed that's why the quake struck China, keep it to yourself! You don't have to blurt it all out!

Sharon's words caused a different kind of quake; Outrage in China!
They boycotted her movies in the country and removed her Christian Dior advertisements!
This lead to an apology to the people of China from Dior and now from Sharon herself!
She said in a statement: "Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people. I am willing to take part in the relief work of China's earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people."

I can imagine how her publicist and the guys at Dior reacted after she talked about that karma thing! Jumping up and down, cursing and trying to figure a way out of the knee deep problem she's going to cause!
