In the latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy –which was fabulous by the way- Dr. Burke (Isaiah Washington) appears in a newspaper article having won an outstanding award in his field of work! It was nice to see the Dr. Burke plot progress if only a little bit and Christina have to face his leaving and all, but it seems that this little twist made Isaiah very angry. For those of you who are unaware, Isaiah was technically kicked off the show and he didn’t expect to see his character ever again. He claims he was ‘more than a little surprised that ABC used his likeness in a promo’ and I am sure the legal papers are being prepared already!
But I mean does he have any right to object? Yes, he is no longer part of the show but the producers created Dr. Burke and had to execute him because of Isaiah’s homophobic tendencies. Not only did they have to lose a plot that could have gone places; now he doesn’t even want them to use the character to help another one of the character’s progress. To be honest I think he just wants to get back at them or make them pay him for using his picture!

Isaiah has every right to be angry. After being dumped the way he was, anyone would feel the same way. They threw him out to the wolves. Heck he should be angry !
About the 'homophobic tendencies'......that was heresy on the part of media. Bad headlining for sensationalism. I find it no less a slur upon anyone, to be called a homophobic, just upon the premise of use of 'a word', it is rather a flimsy basis. It is only by their action, continued anti-gay speech and behaviour/s against gays.........that proves a person to be homophobic. IW should have sued the media for labeling him as homophobic, merely for using an F-word. Although, it is wrong it cannot be proven as homophobia. That's a real stretch. Blame the media !
If IW wants to make ABC pay or get back at them......a lot of us say ...high time..... been a long time coming. We are not as forgiving as IW has been. He should have fought for his name, reputation and honor. Media is powerful but cannot be permitted to libel, ruin and hound just one man. They incited hatred in the ignorant public, and destroyed a man's life and repute. For shame. It is disgusting. He deserves justice and compensation. Hope he gets it. You go Isaiah !
