I’m a great admirer of Mariah Carey because her voice is just so spectacular. The power of her voice and the emotion she packs into every song are what makes her music hit the top charts. And Mariah does it again with her latest single “Touch My Body”. Whether it’s because of this tantalizing title or not, this single is her 18th chart-topping hit. With 18 chart toppers to her name, Mariah Carey has now surpassed the 17 no.1 hit singles record held by the legend Elvis Presley. “Touch My Body” is at present the No. 1 on the BillBoard Hot 100 chart as well as on the trade magazine download chart because on its debut week it has made 286,000 downloads.

This chart-topper “Touch My body” is the first offering released from Mariah’s album “EMC2”. EMC2 is the follow up to the Emancipation of Mimi album that was released in 2005.
Even with this latest success in being able to top Elvis Presley’s record, Mariah remains humble. She doesn’t compare herself to a music icon that has changed music and the world. She said she’s just very happy and grateful with what she has now.
