I only got the chance to watch the two-hour movie 'Knight Rider' yesterday and I gotta admit it's fantabulous! It blew my friends and i away!
When i wrote about the remake a few months ago, i was in doubt it would get any ratings at all! But turns out i was so wrong! Glad to have been wrong!
Knight rider is an icon, i was a kid in the early 80's but i remember watching Michael Knight and KITT in their adventures, although i didn't understand a thing of what was happening then!
So, when i watched the two-hour movie i was so happy!
Choosing Justin Bruening as Mike Traceur is perfect! He's got the same build as David Hasselhoff -a bit shorter- and even looks kinda' like him sometimes, minus the curly hair!
As for the new KITT, which is Knight Industries Three Thousand, not Two Thousand anymore ... well, Ford Mustang ... enough said!
This Mustang is the coolest, sassiest car you've ever seen! It has a supercomputer capable of hacking almost any system; it has a sophisticated weapons system and its body is capable of Repairing itself and shifting shape and color, thanks to nanotechnology!
Oh! And guess who's the voice of this hot, talking car? Val Kilmer! He might not be such a successful actor, but his voice is just right for this car!
Here's a detailed summary of the exact models of Ford Mustang used in the movie ... and future series i hope!
The three cars featured in the series include the KITT Hero -- a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR that is playing the part of the everyday Hero car with 540 horsepower; the KITT Attack -- a super high-speed version of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR Hero car that transforms into Attack mode with the help of air-ride technology and specialized body parts -- and a KITT Remote, which is a driverless Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR version of the Hero vehicle.
Cool Ha!?
The original Michael Knight -David Hasselhoff- made a special appearance in the last few minutes of the movie ... it was good seeing him! I wonder whether he'll be making any appearances in the series remake? As he answered Mike yesterday, when asked: Will i see you again? ... I hope so.
I hope there'll be a remake of the series ... the two-hour movie wasn't a flop after all! It brought in 12.7 million viewers and had the highest ratings for the 18-49 demographic in over three years for any channel. Yay!
