One of George Clooney's movies is entitled The Peacemaker ... remember it? He and Nicole Kidman want to save the world from nuclear warheads stolen by terrorists ... Well, after 10 years Clooney is now a real peacemaker ... a peace messenger really!
Clooney has been made a UN "messenger of peace" to promote the organization's peacekeeping activities around the world. He's been most active in matters concerning raising awareness and mobilizing action to stop the conflict in Darfur.
Clooney said regarding this title: "I am deeply honored to receive this appointment."
I guess, he'll be competing with Angelina Jolie now! but that doesn't hurt ... cause they'll be racing to do more good for the world! Isn't that Great?!
