sometimes i wonder if he does it on purpose because he rather be seen as crappy looking, but good actor, then just another hot guy in hollywood.

I don't quite understand the whole "philosophy" that celebrities need to be looking beautiful 24/7 anyway. I think they deserve every right to go out with their hair messy, wearing sweats and sunglasses just like the rest of us. They do their part getting made up for the screen, during their working hours. I applaud him, actually, for not feeling like he needs to have a hair stylist, and a wardrobe assistant pick out clothes for him at all times. It shows me he is more concerned about his job, and not what the world thinks of him personally. Not to mention he must be quite busy and tired with 2 movies coming out.
Are we looking at the same guy? This photo (as well as all of the gorgeous ones inside) are stunning. He is so darkly handsome, in a very unique, smodering way. But I appreciate that he doesn't seem to know or care if anyone thinks he's hot ot not. He knows there is more to a man. Plus, he will forever be enticing to me because there is no one like him on screen. He is magnificently talented, unbelievably hardworking (even though he will lie to avoid getting credit for it) and seems like a genuinely modest and very human man who just happens to be famous. I think he's wonderful, he couldn't be sexier.
