Kiefer Sutherland decided that he has to face the music and went willingly to Glendale City Jail in California and surrendered to begin a 48-day sentence for his DUI arrest.
At around 5:46 pm, Sutherland was processed into the system and was issued an orange jumpsuit.
He will serve his complete sentence (48 days), with no early release and no good time/work time credit!
He'll be in a 8 by 10 feet cell, with a toilet, a washbasin and a water fountain.
Kiefer will be doing some chores in jail, though! He's got a whole list of tasks to go through every day!
He'll be responsible for laundry and kitchen duty, and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to the other inmates.

Kiefer will receive two hot and one cold meals a day. Among the menu items: Corn flakes, turkey sandwiches, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese and chicken a la king. He will be allowed visitors between 1 pm and 4 pm for 15 minutes each. No more than two visits per day are allowed.

It's so cool getting to know all these details about what happens inside a jail ...
But this one is different, because it's a small jail, only 48 cells!
So, basically, i don't want to know what happens inside those big jails! Like the one in the 1st season of Prison Break!

This 48-day-sentence isn't the only thing the judge threw at Kiefer for his DUI case!
He's also sentenced to five years probation and must complete an 18-month alcohol education program and attend weekly therapy sessions for six months.

Sutherland previously released a statement saying: "I'm very disappointed in myself for the poor judgment I exhibited recently, and I'm deeply sorry for the disappointment and distress this has caused my family, friends and co-workers on 24 and at 20th Century Fox. I appreciate the support and concern that has been extended to me these last weeks both personally and professionally".
