One of the many series premiering on CBS this week is Moonlight.
It's a vampire's story ... not like Buffy ... but more like Angel! We've already seen that; a 'vampire' detective, who takes the cases that the cops can't solve, bites the people who ask for it and tries his best to help the helpless! So, what will make 'Moonlight' succeed? Is there anything new and intriguing to wait for?
I think that what 'Moonlight' has to offer, we've already seen in Angel!
It's just another crime solving detective that sleeps in a freezer! Yes, the coffin is not stylish any longer, a freezer is cooler!
The pilot episode introduces us to the detective himself, Mick St. John.
His story ... he was bitten by his bride on their wedding night 60 years ago. Now & forever, he's a 30 year old, crime-solving dude in L.A.
While investigating a horrible murder, Mick forms a bond with Beth Turner, a young woman who works as an investigative reporter for an Internet site.
We also get to know Mick's key confidants, an old vampire who goes by the name Josef, who is very rich and enjoys pointing his finger and bossing people around!
Ok ... where's the interesting part that makes me jump from my chair?
Will 'Moonlight' succeed? Maybe we have to wait for the second episode for something to happen! ... I don't know!
