I was waiting for the opening performance of the MTV VMA's yesterday, because i wanted to see the much awaited Britney Spears comeback ... which was to my disappointment, much less than what i anticipated!
Britney was supposed to shock everyone, show them that she can fast rewind to her old self & make the needed comeback ... but that didn't happen!
She did manage to shock, not in the needed way, but in the sense that she doesn't seem ready for a comeback; she was nervous, inconfident & less than her usual self on stage.
As one might say, she was only a shadow of her former self!
Brit Brit started the show dressed in a black sparkly bra and panties. She looked under-rehearsed as she lazily lip-synced the lyrics to her new song 'Gimme More'.
She didn't seem professional, but rather amateurish! It's sad seeing Britney in such a state!
I really wanted to be there in Sin City to watch Britney make a booming comeback, but seeing her on tv was more than enough ... Sorry Britney!

It was not impressive at all... but I don't think she's out of shape in anyway. She might not be the Britney we remember but she still looks good. As far as her lip singing...YEAH! she seemed to forgot how to dance and lip sing at the same time.
Kevin Federline....get your money and your kids while you can. After last night's performance, Brit isn't going to be making any more money. In fact, she's replaced Kathy Griffin on the "D" List! I always knew she was a poor singer (er, lip syncher) but at least she could dance - what happened to her dancing? It was truly sad to watch.
Most entertainers who lip sync do so because they have grueling & intense choreography routines. But c'mon Brit...theres no need to lip sync when all your doing if shuffling around onstage, don't insult our intelligence! I'm pissed I wasted even five minutes watching that debouchery. Does she even have people anymore, where is her camp telling her in rehersals that her er, a, ummmm "performance" would make her a laughing stock? Girlfriend needs to take time off and get it together personally and professionally before her fans ultimately bail on her. My niece's 4th grade dance recital was more entertaining & better rehersed.
Could it get any worse for her professionally? I've seen third graders fake being Britney Spears better than she did last night.
Word of advice Britney.
GO HOME AND LEARN TO BE A MOTHER! Doing that job well will matter one day, this one doesn't and you are no longer good at it.
Inconfident? Being a stage performer who can't sing or dance is almost as bad as being a blogger and not knowing the difference between real and made-up words. If your going to bash somebody at least consult a dictionary.

I thought she did horrible, not even like her ol preformances, she was slow at best when dancing, I think that if she would have kicked her dancing up a notch it would have been alot better. I feel bad that her "comeback" was not a good one, maybe she should do more practicing her routine and less partying.

I was disappointed for MTV allowing her to perform. Did anyone watch her during rehearsal? Did she even rehearse? Anyone could have done what she did on the VMAs. There was nothing exciting about that boring performance. She didn' even sing. The song only had a few words, that repeated themselves and she couldn't even sing those. It was awful to watch someone fail, especially when its their career.
She didn't look like she was into it. She had absolutely no energy. The dancing was pretty basic, and she looked kind of chubby. I think she can make a come back because she didn't even try last night. We all know its in her somewhere. She wasn't the princess of pop by accident. She held that title for so many years. She just isn't ready yet, and that's fine. She will be back eventually.
I totally agree with everyone. My disappointment was when she had no energy. She never could sing before, but she always had this stage presence that made people feel like dancing. Instead I was bored out of my mind. The song was terrible, at times she didn't even mouth the words and she wasn't in good enough shape for that "outfit". I hope she will still come back, because she had a thriving career once upon a time, but she was no where near ready for last night, and her body wasn't ready for her old skimpy outfits.

I agree with you about the blogger's use of the word "inconfident". However, one should also know the difference between "your" and "you're". The first is possessive and the second is a contraction of the words "you" and "are".

Although I agree with everyone that Britney wasnt her usual self, I have to say it took a lot of guts for her to get up there! We cant always hekp what we're thinking at any one time - remember the girl is only human and she's been through a lot. It IS time for a comeback if ever she's going to do it - I just hope the next performance is better and that she doesnt give up!

But really, we use the words 'inconfidence' & 'inconfident' all the time! So, it's sorta' real!

She is confident, she's practically naked. She's just fooling herself & needs someone 2 shake her & say 'enough is enough'. She isn't talented now but then again she never was & she certainly doesn't need the money. She's aged too soon, almost like an old celeb desperately trying 2 get their career back but just way passed it. Her mum needs 2 sort her out. The criticism 4 this performance will only do her more damage.
She really looked like someone's mom trying to still maintain "her sexy." You know, how there's always that one mom who still dances around in inappropriate clothing trying to prove she's still hot? That was her! She was dragging all across the stage and looked as though she was drugged or medicated in some way. I feel bad for her because it is embarrassing, but maybe it will be the jolt she needs to get her act together. I would much rather it be something like this to motivate her than the potential loss of the custody of her children or something like that. I'll say a prayer for the girl b/c she truly seems lost!

well john brit isn't the only one using sex apeal ..well beyoncé,xtina,shakira and of course madonna they all do worst than brit...any way i still love her and she's an amazing artist wait for the album and as for her vma's performance that was a flop alright but that's not the end she'll be back
