After watching two episodes of Masters of Science Fiction, I have a pretty good idea why it was banished to TV Siberia!
If the 1st episode was slightly political, then The Awakening is totally political.
I guess, as part of the media black-out in the states, a few important people don't want the good people of America to watch a bit of serious issues, because although they are masked with a bit of science fiction, the message will get across!
What I could hope for ... what many people around the world are hoping for, is an awakening ... a real awakening to the fact that humans across the world are all the same, they have the same hopes, the same desires & the same fears ... we should all be able to understand each other & not to destroy each other!
An Awakening Soon ... Hopefully!
The question lies in the strange fact that the powerful always look for enemies ... another side to fight & to destroy! But why?
Can't the nations of the world all live in harmony, peace & tranquility?
Can't the atomic & nuclear weapons be used for bettering the lives of people, instead of eliminating them?
This isn't only a political matter, but an ethical one too ...
There's one last point, which was made really clear, especially in the last 10 minutes of the episode ... Do you approve of 'this administrations' decisions? Not only in regard to the rest of the world, but inside the states as well ... I certainly don't!
