Purcell debuted on American television as the title character in John Doe in 2002. But he got his first big break into stardom when he played the character of Drake in Blade: Trinity. Hey! I don't remember seeing him in that movie!

But his strongest & most famous performance is on Prison Break as Lincoln Burrows.

As for his future projects, he's set to play Victor Marshall in a horror movie about a man and his brother on a mission of revenge. They become trapped in a strange experiment dating back to the Third Reich! This movie is scheduled for a 2008 release.
