A few days after a young lady by the name of Shera Barlow bought a brand new mobile phone number in Los Angeles something bizarre began to happen! She started receiving text messages asking her about the best nightclubs and even birthday congratulations! Barlow was in awe until she discovered what had happened: she had bought Paris Hilton’s old number! Most of the text messages, according to Barlow, were sent between 2 and 4 am and so confused and tired she told the Los Angeles Times her story which was published in the newspaper last Friday!

Primarily the text messages were ones asking about parties and nightclubs that people wanted to visit but then and after a few months the text messages content changed.

People began to send messages comforting ‘Paris’ about having to go to jail due to Driving under the Influence charges! Barlow added that she constantly resisted the temptation of posing as Paris Hilton or getting herself into Hollywood parties using this number! The Times actually found out about the story when a reporter called the number hoping for a statement from Paris but he got Barlow instead who told him the story! Shera Barlow insisted she wouldn’t be getting rid of the number because it’s become a source of entertainment rather than annoyance!
