Enrique Iglesias Sings in Damascus

enrique iglesias

It was the last thing i expected reading that Enrique Iglesias performed in the Syrian capital Damascus.
A couple of days ago, the most unexpected person performed in the capital of one of the Arab World's socialist-type countries ... Damascus was on alert because Enrique Iglesias was the first international superstar to sing on Syrian soil in 30 years!
Although Syria is considered as a 'Red Zone' in the Middle East, that didn't stop Iglesias from going & meeting his Arab fans.

The concert was held close to the 11th-century Damascus citadel in a venue built for the show.
Two giant television screens were set up outside the venue, where crowds gathered to watch the performance.
The concert was totally organized & was a huge success ... so, will this be a new beginning? Will more international stars venture into going to Syria to perform for their Arab fans?
