Avril Lavigne's new song 'Girlfriend' is a hit ... we all like it ... but it seems some people are really angry about it & are going to sue Avril ... they say, she stole their song!
It goes like this, Avril is being sued by a Seventies songwriting team who say her song 'Girlfriend' is just like one they wrote years ago. The difference is in the name ... their song used to be called 'I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend' !
Ooops! Avril isn't the only being sued ... but the co-writer of the song, Dr. Luke, and the company Avril Lavigne Publishing too!

Ok, so what does Avril team have to say about this? ... They say, they had the two songs checked by a musicologist, & he says there's nothing similar!
But ... yes, there's a but ... Avril's manager says he's prepared to settle out of court, if the law-suit becomes to expensive to fight!

okay she doesn't need to get sued for that.. cuz other artist do that okay.. n they dont seem to care.. but im not saying avril did that or not... but im just saying.. artists do that.. what makes them have the right to do that.. to her.. they should just do that to artists who take other ppl's songs n make it there's or take there ideas n make it there's... like wtf is that...

ok this has nothing to do with the sueing whole thing issue. i just want to comment about her new style. i loved avril because she was a tomboy and didnt care about all that make-up elegant..showing cleavage cause im so damn sexy bullshit. she just wanted to show who she really is..for me..this new avril is fake and it doesnt suit her. ok she grew..but its just a bit sad..i loved her style and that was what was so unique about her..and nows shes turning more pop thank rock than ever before :S

Tomboy, girls do this all the time, they say they will not wear dress’s or high heals, etc., etc. etc. but then they grow up and become feminine, and start wearing more feminine clothes, duh! Avril has grown up into a beautiful woman, she is happily married and she is going to act like a woman so get over it.
Oh and the whole suing thing, I read that Rubinoos realized they probably could not win there case in trial, so they are asking for just enough money to cover their legal costs, because otherwise they could lose a lot of money and potentially go bankrupt. This was a frivolous lawsuit that was bound to fail from the start, because it smelled of cheap a publicity stunt to promote the Rubinoos just released box set, and a way to make a cheap buck, but it failed miserably.
