Reports have been flooding in from reliable sources that Nicole Richie and her rock star boyfriend Joel Madden are expecting a child, but is Nicole Richie a fit mother??? You may recall that this apparently 3 month pregnant celebrity, used to be a heroin addict, which of course is a quality that every mother needs in her pocket!!! In addition to this, very much like her best friend Paris Hilton, Nicole is facing DUI charges and although her court date has been postponed, she still faces the danger of serving time … maybe even while she’s pregnant or worse when she has had the baby!

Nicole is very aware of the jail danger because she had a little heart to heart with David Letterman in the beginning of June and with a great sense of humour she discussed how she may be going to jail! This interview made some think that she wasn’t actually pregnant but if she wasn’t then her father would deny it, and he didn’t! Lionel Richie told reporters when asked about the pregnancy ‘I don't know. She'll let me know about it at the very last minute.’! So all in all, if Nicole is pregnant her baby is coming to a mother who will probably serve time for alcohol abuse and who was a heroin addiction!
