Nicole Richie is famous ... why? Is it because she is Lionel Richie's daughter? Is it because she screwed up so much she had to be on the news? Is it because she is totally skinny? ... I'm not sure!
But, the funny thing is, Nicole Richie isn't sure either!
In the August edition of NYLON mag, she also says: "I don’t have a clue why I’m famous. I didn’t make myself famous …"
Nicole also says: "I think people just want to say: 'Oh, she doesn’t have a job she doesn’t do anything.' They get off on that. But I do have a job, like everyone else."
So, what does she do? Is The Simple Life her job? Or is there another thing we don't know about?
In all cases, she answers a really good question about her 2003 experience in rehab following a heroin-possession arrest, she says:
"When I pictured heroin, I pictured some crazy crackhead with no shoes under a bridge. You never think that is going to be you. And it never was me. I was never under a bridge, and I always had shoes."
Hmmm ... interesting ... she sounds more realistic & logical than her friend Paris Hilton ... the good thing is, she doesn't play dumb!
She says this about being a role model for teens: "I don’t walk around pretending that I’m perfect, so I don’t think anyone should hold me to that. The dangerous thing is that there are 16 -, 17 -, 18 –year-olds that people consider to be role models. I’m so happy I wasn’t famous back then …"
