I’ve always wondered who chooses the Oscar winners but today I found out, it is a group that goes by the name of: Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This has been dubbed the most exclusive club in Hollywood but they have recruited 115 new members recently which included some of the biggest stars of our day. New members include: Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell, Jennifer Hudson, Daniel Craig, Aaron Eckhart, Christopher Plummer, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Danny Huston!

Quite an extensive list but none of the new members can be taken lightly as along with several other members they will be voting on the next Oscars, however, I’m unsure if Academy members can win Oscars themselves! The number of members picked has steadily declined as the Academy wanted to slow down its growth hence making it more exclusive. According to Bruce Davis the executive director of the Academy “The numbers are stabilizing nicely,"! Strangely enough Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were not invited, I wonder why!
