This is absolutely absurd! I don't believe it! Paris Hilton's 45-day sentence was first reduced to 23 days ... now she's released after barely serving 5 days?! How come?! What happened to the other 18 days?!
What's even sillier, is that she was released on basis that she has a medical condition! Puleez!
Paris is going to spend, believe it or not, the remaining days, which are suddenly 40 now, in the comfort of her mansion ... what a punishment that is!

Paris' attorney issued a statement on behalf of the Hilton princess today ...
"I want to thank the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and staff of the Century Regional Detention Center for treating me fairly and professionally. I am going to serve the remaining 40 days of my sentence. I have learned a great deal from this ordeal and hope that others have learned from my mistakes." Barf! Barf
How fair do you think this is? ... pretty fair, ha?!
