Jensen Ackles suffers from "Brad Pitt Disease" - aka too good-looking for his own good. He was given some tasty material to work with during the last few episodes of Supernatural this season though...and he really proved he's not just a pretty face. So I think we'll be seeing a lot more of him in the future. His strongest point is his obvious sense of humor. The guy is hilarious - both on Supernatural, and the few times I've seen him interviewed. Which is good because he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. What a refreshing trait in a Hollywood actor, no?

I doubt you'll see many comments from folks who don't like Jensen Ackles. What's not to like?!? He is a talented actor starring in one of the most underrated shows on television -- Supernatural. Better yet, he comes across (in interviews -- I've never met him, unfortunately) as a genuinely nice guy; a little shy with a great sense of humour. With his talent, and good looks, I would bet money that Mr. Ackles is destined for blockbuster hits on the big screen. Any takers?

PS-- Now how about an article about his Supernatural co-star, Jared Padalecki: equally handsome, every bit as genuine (although much more out-going), and just as talented. They're practically a matched set!

Hah...people won't say nasty things until he does something really brilliant and successful. That's just the way it is.

He's a mini Brad Pitt Looks like him too!

Ever notice how nobody who is out there doing things big in their way has EVERYBODY like them?

Jensen Ackles is one of the best and most charismatic actors of his generation today. Unfortunately, he is not given the full recognition he so fittingly deserves because Supernatural (one of the best shows on television today) is so grossly underrated. The fact that he happens to be gorgeous and apparently self-effacing only adds to his charm. I watched Supernatural since its inception because I was an X-Phile, and it wasn't until one-third into the season that I realized Dean (Jensen's character) is gorgeous. Then I also discovered that Jensen can act! I have since become a huge fan and have watched Dark Angel, which also was a great platform to showcase his talent. Hopefully with time, people in Hollywood will sit up and take note of this brilliant young actor. By the way, his performance as Dean this season truly deserves at least an Emmy nod.
...And seriously? He's better looking than Brad Pitt!!!

The thing I find most impressive about Jensen Ackles is his ability to get into a character, rather than just read the lines and make faces like most "actors" these days do. He really does put a lot of work into making his characters real people. This really shows in Supernatural, where his character Dean could easily have been a two-dimensional horndog gun-bunny if played by most any other actor his age currently in the tv or film industry. He's taken that character and made him, supernatural background and all, the most *real* character I have seen on TV.

His very professional attitude toward the film and tv industry is also very refreshing.

Jensen never fails to take my breath away (and I'm not always talking about his looks). The man has amazing talent. It's incredible to see what he does with a character. He brings them to life and makes me forget I'm watching a fictional character. He's really gotten a chance to show his range with Dean Winchester. I've never laughed, cried and screamed at a TV character as much as I have with Dean. I've truly grown to care for him. Any actor that can do that is tops in my book. The man deserves an Emmy!

Jensen Ackles is an amazing actor. I love how he gets into character (and plays Dean so well). He is believable when you watch him. You feel for the guy when something bad happens. You laugh at him when he makes a joke. You understand what he is saying and actually believe it. You feel sorry for him when something doesn't go his way. Those are all the qualities he brings to Dean Winchester and that's what makes him an amazing actor.

First off, Jensen was never a physical therapist. He was thinking of going into sports medicine before he decided on acting.

That said, I always thought he was a decent actor but it wasn't until this role on supernatural that I really took notice. He has a great acting range. Wonderful comedic timing and a very expressive face. I think if you come into an episode blind, without knowing the characters, the acting may seem a little weak (I've had this complaint from friends that I've talked into catching an ep or two, initially) but once you get a few eps in you can really start to see the subtleties in the acting on his part and can really start to read what's playing across his face.

I think he's very talented and really brings this character to life.

Jensen is a joy to watch -- and I'm not just talking about the fact that he is a beautiful man. He knows how to get inside the head of the characters he plays and makes them so believable. He also does an amazing job growing and evolving the roles he plays. I can tell he gives 110% always!

Jensen Ackles is a wonderful actor. I have especially enjoyed his work as 'Alec' on James Cameron's Dark Angel and as 'Dean' on the CW's underrated Supernatural.

Jensen Ackles is a very talented actor who puts his heart and soul into his characters, especially Dean Winchester, making them totally believable. Also Supernatural is a very under-rated programme which should definitely get its due recognition.

Jensen Ackles is bloody brilliant. His acting is getting better and better as we speak! It's just the way he brings his character to life(Dean Winchester). This man was touched by an angel. Move over Johnny Depp, Jensen Ackles coming through!

I must admit I began watching Supernatural because of the good-looking guys. I KEEP watching because of the awesome story and excellent actors. Jensen has really enabled his character to grow and seems comfortable in it while not being boring or overacting. I've always had a knack to be able to tell when an actor was having an "off" day by "pushing" his lines. I have never seen that in him during Supernatural and I often find myself so enthralled in the show and being bummed when it's over. Jensen's knack to "play" off other characters is ingenius and his personal attitude and humor is absolutely wonderful!
