Oprah Winfrey, the multi billionaire talk show hostess, was ‘stunned’ by the fact that her father Vernon Winfrey was writing a tell all book about her entitled ‘Things Unspoken’. Reportedly the book will give details of her youth but when a newspaper wrote about it Oprah allegedly laughed at the idea and wanted to call them and assure them that they were mistaken. However, it seems that she spoke to her father and he confirmed it and said ‘Imeant to tell you I've been working on it’. As for Oprah’s reaction to this news she says she was ‘upset’ but not ‘devastated’!

The world basically knows all there is to know about Oprah’s life down to every minute detail, so I don’t think there is much Vernon Winfrey can reveal. Vernon owns Winfrey Barber & Beauty Shop in Nashville and did not comment on his daughter’s reaction to his writing the book. Oprah told reporters: ‘I would have preferred to have known my father was working on this. It would have been a nice gesture, a courtesy.’ This looks to me like an attempt to mooch off his daughters success but really now that Oprah spoke about how it ‘upset’ her, people will go out to buy it just to see if there is anything scandalous!
