Iggy Pop was the lead singer of The Stooges, a 60s/70s rock band who were highly influential in the development of punk rock.
Iggy is ofen referred to as 'The Godfather of Punk'!
Iggy Pop has also been famous throughout the past 25 years for his solo career, his best-known songs include 'Lust for Life', 'I'm Bored', 'Real Wild Child', 'Search and Destroy', 'Candy' & 'The Passenger'.

The Passenger is also the name of the upcoming biopic about his early days with The Stooges.
The film is being budgeted at around $8 million and will shoot in the next 6 months for a 2008 release.
