Every year ‘American Idol’ junkies sit and wait for the next season and suffer huge ‘American Idol’ withdrawal symptoms on Tuesday nights and every year Fox tries to fill that gap. Fox have made many failed attempts at filing the American Idol slot with programs such as ‘The Swan’ and ‘Nanny 911’ and whilst a few did alright nothing could compare to ‘American Idol’ ratings. The result? Fox are getting smart and making a show that when plainly described is an American Idol ‘wannabe’ and it goes by the name of ‘The Search for the Next Great American Band’ (which is quite the mouthful).

Very much like ‘American Idol’ there will be a tour in the country in search for the best bands and then the judges will narrow them down to a few semi-finalists bla bla ... However, unlike ‘American Idol’ this show has no age limit which is BAD news because last time Fox tried to include younger contestants it became a showcase of puking kids whose mothers had shoved them on stage! It's sad how Fox just wont realise they cannot fill the ‘American Idol’ fissure!
