Reports have it that the production company owned by Reese Witherspoon will be resurfacing the story of Reena Virk in a new movie! Reena Virk is a 14 year old student who was murdered in 1977 by her fellow schoolmates and her murder shook Britain. The reenactment of the 14 year old’s death which occured after she was beaten to death, is to go by the name of ‘Under the Bridge’ and will be directed by Catherine Hardwicke who directed Thirteen.

The movie will be based on a book that goes by the same name and was written by Canadian writer Rebecca Godfrey. The book that the movie should be based on is widely praised for its detailed account of the murder and detailed images of the murderers! Whether or not Reese will be part of the movie is still unknown but I guess we will see! It's good to see someone paying attention to making movies that are a lot ‘heavier’ than the shallow comic movies that everyone seems to be interested in these days.
