If Rosie O'Donnell is going to leave The View in June ... who's going to replace her?
Some say that Star Jones will be brought back ... i really hope not!
The recent report or 'rumor' is that Rosanne Barr is going to fill Rosie's chair!
What would Rosanne do to the show? In a combination with the other ladies ... If you think about it, Rosanne is so interesting & so loud, she might give The View the needed twist ... but could she have a negative effect on the famous talk-show? Wouldn't she clash with Barbara Walters?
If you had the authority to bring in whoever you wanted ... who would you chose to fill in Rosie's place? ... Tell me why as well!

GO RICKI, GO RICKI. Ricki Lake is the obvious choice. She's cool, funny, outspoken and at 38, fits the demographics of the show

I hope it's someone who's as outspoken as Rosie. Roseanne Barr would be great, as would Whoopie Goldberg. I just hope it's a person who speaks her mind and can give us an alternative to all the drivel on TV. Though I don't always agree with Rosie, she's a breath of fresh air. Finally, an honest person on TV!

I will be sorry to see Rosie go. Barbara may be co-producer but she has to recognise that Elizabeth has oustayed her welcome. Having an opinion is fine but to rant and rave in a cross between Adolph hitler and the Ghengis Khan is most disturbing to see in such a young person who has denied herself an inquiring mind. Barbara should also consider bowing out and finding a more pragmatic conservative and a liberal replacement for Rosie, like Susan Saradin(?spelling)which could provide intellegent interaction. Joy's humour could temper the debate instead of having to watch her sitting like a bump on a log in the heat of Hasselbeck's rantings.Just to let Rosie go and bring Elizabeth back without giving consideration to quality will be the end of the View. After Rosie leaves and Barbara and Elizabeth stay, I give the show a run of one season at the outset. Mark my words.

I think Riki Lake would be an excellent replacement. Rosie was funny at times, but by the same token she was a loud mouth, bully. She was terrible with how she would relate to the other women on the show, even Barbara Walters. I will not miss her. When Meredith left, I did missed her. Fortunately, I can see her on the today show.
