The Tribeca Film Festival is a promotion for the upcoming 24 hrs concert ‘Live Earth’ so Al Gore "the world's hottest leading man," was there to feature nine short environmental movies. These ‘Live Earth Films’ include a movie aimed at children asking them ‘How long do you think the Earth will last?’ in addition to one marking the reunion of a spoof band Spinal Tap. This year the Tribeca Film Festival will include ‘12-day line-up of 157 features and 88 shorts [which] includes the premiere of "Spider-Man 3," a marathon of sports films and an outdoor screening of a documentary about break dancers, "Planet B-Boy," and a dance tribute to James Brown.’
Tribeca Film Festival Kickoff Featuring Al Gore!
So it sounds pretty action packed. Al Gore of course didn’t miss this chance to comment on recent environmental decisions such as Bloomberg’s which consists of a fee of $8 for cars and 21$ for trucks entering Lower Manhattan and the recent positive action taken by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger!
