On the 24th of April 1982 Sire Records released the single ‘Everybody’ by an unknown female artist from Michigan. This artist is now the world renowned and amazing Madonna! Many have described Madonna as an inspiration and although I am very careful with who I find inspiring, I think the mere adoption of a child from Malawi is recognizable! ‘Everybody’ Madonna’s first single became a massive hit and was on radios and dance floors in 1982 and Madonna continued to amaze us with more of her fabulous music.

Impressively Madonna has sold nearly 200 million records, had 12 British Number 1 singles and produced 43 singles and since her launch and I don’t remember anything she sang which didn’t smash the charts! Madonna has had a very eventful 25 years where she angered the Catholic Church, starred in James Bond Movies and more!
