Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes were in New York last night for a Scientology event.
They made an appearance for a dinner to raise money for a program Cruise co-founded in 2002, the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project.
This program offers free treatment to emergency workers who suffer breathing difficulties and other health problems caused by exposure to toxins at ground zero after the 9/11 attacks.
The program takes about 30 days to complete ... where the worker is given vitamins and nutritional counseling and participates in daily exercise and sauna sessions.
Cruise said in a statement to the AP: "Nearly six years later, many are still paying a price for their heroic service at the World Trade Center. This is a profound injustice. This project has demonstrated that recovery is not only possible, but an incontrovertible fact."
Katie looked great in a black dress, black leggings & golden accessories, while Tom looked his usual in his stripped navy blue suit!

HUH? His statement is not cogent. They're paying the price in bad health and it's a profound injustice? So like why doesn't the Scientology business make it all bettah? Did they cure all the fire and rescue team's problems like they claim they can?
Actually I heard the program is cool it's just the manipulative people abusing it who are not.
And Tom Cruise does look his usual...like you say. Gives me creepy shudders. They will rule the world all right like they wish.
