For 35 years Johnny Cash called a ‘little’, 13,880-square-foot, wooden house in Tennessee home but something that nobody can put there fingers on just yet caused the house to ignite into a deadly ball of flame, what made it all worse was the fact that the renovators had just applied an extremely flammable wood preserver. According to the Fire Chief Jamie Steel the fire emerged at 1:40 and the competent fire fighter were at the scene within five minutes. This now non- existent house was once where the inspirational Johnny Cash wrote the songs that one day touched the hearts of the American people.
After Johnny Cash and his wife’s death in 2003 this house was purchased by Barry Gibbs, a member of the Bee Gees. I’m glad Johnny Cash did not live to see this sad day as it is said that this house was ‘sanctuary and a fortress for him’ and according to Tommy Cash this was the only place Johnny Cash and his wife lived in.
So what do you think, is this fates way of ensuring only Johnny owned his beloved house?
