It's official! Angelina Jolie has adopted little 3-year-old boy Pax Thien.
If you're wondering what his name means, it's Peaceful Sky; Pax is peace in Latin & Thien is sky in Vietnamese.
Jolie's reps revealed that she took custody of the child yesterday Thursday in Vietnam & they will stay there for another week while the child's American passport is issued.
Angelina Jolie Officially Adopts Pax Thien
Angelina wrote in the guest-book of the orphanage where Pax has been living, she wrote: "Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my son, I am sure he will miss your beautiful, caring staff as much as you will miss him."
Brad Pitt wanted to be present with Angelina at the adoption ceremony, but because of his work & the movie's he's shooting, he couldn't.
Congratulations Angelina & Brad ... Welcome to the Jolie-Pitt Family Pax!

When you have fame and fortune...you can do what Angelina does. Bypass all adoption laws and just pluck a child from any country and take the child home. Almost like going to the pet shop. I would respect this woman more if she had donated some of her money to help all the kids in the orphanages and not just the ones she adopted. She is using these kids to improve her image to the world..can't anyone see that?
Very sad how some people think. If you had a child, or knew what is involved in raising one, you won't even voice such an ignorant thought. But I don't blame you...Americans have so much at their disposal that they take a lot of things for granted. Adopting one child, especially from a poor country may make the difference between life and death for that child. It is a lot of work and sacrifice. I know because I have one. How dare you even think this is about image? People criticize Angelina for adopting, more than they criticize Paris Hilton for being shamefully useless and disgustingly shallow. Is this how twisted Americans' minds are?
regardless of her image, dont you realise that when she takes all these children to her home, she is cutting them off from their roots? will this child ever learn to speak vietnamese? what will he learn about the history and culture of his country in american schools? nothing. christina is right, instaed of taking one kid from his homeland and helping him have a better life, she should donate and do all those kids a favour.
Natalie - Christina,
Would you rather live your entire childhood life with no family to love you while possibly being deathly ill. Or would you rather have a family to love while learning about your native land from another country? HMMM> The two of you are too ignorant to be blogging.
